Welcome.

Are you looking for a unique artwork or decorative object that is just the right fit for your home, that showcases your personality or interest?

We exhibit and sell locally made art, jewellery, woodwork, fashion, ceramics, curios and collectibles.

Iluka is a small town on the Clarence River with an exceptional depth of artistic talent. And, what stands us apart from the rest?

The gallery and store is run by the Artisans themselves, not a gallery owner. We know the art, the techniques and the local area.

Come into the Iluka Emporium to say hello, we're keen to meet you.

Supporting Local Artists

Exhibition Spaces are available to rent on a monthly basis at Iluka Emporium. No commission taken on sales and you have the opportunity to host an Opening Event. Contact us for full details.

Feature Artist, September 2024:
Exhibiting a selection of work from our recently completed
Embrace Programme of Workshops

THANK YOU facilitators, assistants, photographers and the Iluka Emporium Grant Management Team (Linda, Jacky, Carolyn and Tamsin) with the conclusion of our EMBRACE PROGRAM. Funded by the NSW Government - Stronger Country Communities Fund (SCCF), this project covered 50 FREE workshops and exhibitions over a period of 18 months.

Bringing together the community through small inclusive groups to create, connect and exhibit together gave far-reaching benefits including self-esteem, resilience and most importantly stronger connections. This project also enabled us to employ local artists and engage small businesses in Iluka. Iluka Emporium is proud to have offered so many different free creative workshops in such varied locations offering warm hospitality by our artists, teachers and craftspeople. Congratulations everyone!

A selection of participants’ work from our completed workshops will be on display for the month of SEPTEMBER.

Thank you to our exhibiting Emporium facilitators and the Grant Management Team.

Feature Artist, September 2024:

Jan Armstrong

One of a kind soft sculptures

A delightful display of original soft creatures.

What a delight!  From cuddly creatures who might have wandered out of a daydream, to those that seem to appear from the past, Jan thrives on mixing materials and ideas, always seeking that perfect blend of the bizarre and the beautiful. So, step into Jan's world where whimsy reigns, you never know what you might find. Embrace the delightful oddities that make life a little more magical! Jan says "Welcome to my fantastical garden of soft sculptures.”

Words from the artist.

“One-of-a-Kind Soft Sculptures stitched here in the Clarence Valley. My artistic journey twists and turns through nature's wonderland. Every leaf, animal, splash of colour influences my work and is a playful nod to the eclectic and diverse beauty Mother Nature so generously provides. Creating OOAK (One-of-a-Kind) soft sculptures is like cooking a delightful dish, and nature is the spice. Each piece I craft is a unique blend of fun, detailed textures, and a healthy dose of quirkiness to brings a smile to your face.
