Feature Artist, August 2024: 
Student works 'Watercolour Basic and Beyond' 
Embrace Workshop with facilitator Greg Wilson.

“The 'Watercolour Basics and Beyond'; one day workshop gave six participants the opportunity to experiment

with watercolour, creating a series of small abstract seascape and landscape paintings.

​

The style of loose intuitive painting is very satisfying and all participants had an enjoyable and creative day.

A key to achieving a fresh painting with this technique, and indeed any type of watercolour painting, is not to

overwork painted paper.

​

Morning tea and lunch was provided by Elly and all participants expressed their thanks for the wonderful catering. Friendships and connections were made during the workshop facilitated by Greg and his assistant Sandy.

Please come into the Iluka Emporium during August to view the beautiful artworks created by participants of this workshop.

​

A celebration of these works will be held at the official opening event on August 17th at 10am - Noon, refreshments and live music will be playing. We look forward to seeing you there.
