Karin Brear

I am an Award winning Artist.

My art journey began in 1993 having had a lesson in Decorative art and I haven’t stopped painting!

I received a Third prize and also the Faye Boyd Art School Scholarship at the Clarence River Art Festival in 2018.

I won a First Prize for Best Pastel which was a sunrise seascape ‘Breaking Through’ at the Lions Art Extravaganza in Brisbane in 2016.

I have previously exhibited my work in The Old Schoolhouse Gallery in Cleveland Qld. Since moving to the Clarence Valley I now exhibit at the Ferry Park Gallery in Maclean N.S.W. and Iluka Emporium Iluka N.S.W.

I love painting in Pastel, Acrylic, oil, watercolour and Mixed Media and enjoy painting seascapes, sunrises, sunsets, landscapes, waves, birds, florals and abstracts.

My inspiration comes from the world around us. Being an artist you certainly take more notice of our wonderful landscape.

I love my photography so I have many reference photos to choose from as inspiration for my artwork.

Since moving to the Clarence Valley from Brisbane, the inspiration never stops. I just need more hours in a day to fit everything in!!

I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy creating it for you.
