Biography
After growing up in Williamstown, a bayside suburb of Melbourne, she moved to Kuranda, Far North Queensland to live for over twenty years. Art studies began at Cairns TAFE College in the early 1990s. A move to Albury, NSW for her youngest son to join the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, lead her to complete a Diploma of Visual Art at Wangaratta TAFE College and then a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, NSW. Eventually returning to Williamstown after 30 odd years, she completed a Post Graduate Diploma in TESOL, whilst teaching art and ESL.
Involved in around forty group exhibitions and several solo shows since 1991, her work also features in Grafton Regional Art Gallery’s collection in addition to public and private collections throughout Australia.
She has taught for over 25 years at TAFE, Community Education Centres in Qld, NSW, Victoria, and in Vietnam.
Happily retired in Iluka, she occasionally offers workshops and private tuition.
Working mainly in mixed media allows her the freedom to play around with a variety of materials and techniques in unexpected ways.
